ItineraryDay 1 - Flights to Croatia
Overnight flights to Zagreb, Croatia
Day 2 - Zagreb
After arriving into Zagreb and checking into your hotel, enjoy an afternoon walking tour of Zagreb. Explore Zagreb’s famous monuments and learn more about its rich history. In the evening, join the rest of the group for a Welcome Dinner.
Day 3 - Zagreb to Opatija
This morning, travel to the picturesque, coastal town of Opatija. Rejuvenate with a walking tour and a delicious lunch. After, check into the hotel and then spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing or exploring.
Day 4 - Istra Peninsula
Today is spent discovering the Istra Peninsula! Discover the 2000-year-old Roman ruins in Pula and the breathtaking city of Rovinj. End the day with a visit to the village of Livade and sample its scrumptious truffles. Later, return to Opatija and enjoy a relaxing evening at leisure.
Day 5 - Opatija to Plitvice
Journey to the awe-inspiring natural wilderness of Plitvice Lakes National Park. Embark on an approximate three-hour tour that features hiking through spectacular scenery including glorious waterfalls connected by 16 lakes, a boat ride across the Emerald Green Lake and a train ride back to the entrance. Enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant and an overnight stay in the Plitvice area.
Day 6 - Plitvice to Zadar to Split
Today is all about history, fine food and wine! Start your day with a good breakfast followed by a journey to the city of Zadar known for its Roman and Venetian ruins and the famous Zadar Sea Organs. After Zadar, experience a unique pairing of wine tasting and Croatian Tapas at the famous Bibich Winery. Sample the amazing whites and reds and learn more about local varieties. Then you’re off to Split for an overnight stay.
Day 7 - Split to Trogir
Split, the second-largest city of Croatia, is a mix of old and new architecture built throughout the centuries. View the Diocletian’s Palace built as Roman Emperor Diocletian’s retirement residence. Enjoy lunch at the Tragos restaurant in Trogir featuring traditional dishes. The town of Trogir features an orthogonal or right angles intersections, a castle and tower, palaces and churches, and the 15th century Fortress Kamerlengo.
Day 8 - Embarkation Day
Today we board our deluxe luxury yacht, home for the next seven nights. The MV Infinity was built in 2015 and boasts the latest state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. In the evening, join the rest of the group for a welcome reception.
Day 9 - Split to Hvar
This morning we depart for Brač Island for a planned swim at the most famous beach in Dalmatia, Zlatni Rat near Bol. Continue towards the jet-set island Hvar with lunch on board at the Pakleni Islands. Hvar is both the longest and sunniest Island in the Adriatic and is known for the lavish lavender fields. Spend the afternoon touring the towns historical landmarks.
Day 10 - Hvar to Vis
In the early morning hours, we cruise towards the small island of Biševo to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon (weather permitting). Continue onwards to the island of Vis, once a strategic naval Yugoslav base and closed to the public for years. Due to this isolation, Vis retains a special charm – “the Mediterranean as it once was”. Situated on the northern side of the island, Vis has developed near the remains of ancient Issa, the first urban centre in Croatia.
Day 11 - Vis to Korcula
Saying farewell to Vis, we depart towards Korčula Island, best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo, stopping for lunch en route in one of the secluded bays we pass. Arriving in Korčula mid-afternoon, tour the enchanting town surrounded by walls and considered to be one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean. The fish bone street pattern was used in Korčula Old Town’s design to provide a natural cooling effect.
Day 12 - Korcula to Mljet
This morning, head further south to the island of Mljet. The legend says Greek hero Odysseus spent years on this island when he was captured by the nymph Calypso. Join the group for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park and enjoy a boat ride to the St. Mary Isle where we visit an ancient Benedictine Monastery dating back to the 12th century.
Day 13 - Mljet to Slano
Departing Mljet, we head to a small village, Slano. A peaceful fisherman’s village famous for its oysters. In the evening, join the Captain for a Captain’s Dinner with entertainment.
Day 14 - Slano to Dubrovnik
This morning we depart for Dubrovnik. The special charm of this world-famous town are the buildings that have remained from the time of the old Dubrovnik Republic. Many of the monuments belong to the modest Renaissance architecture with traces of Gothic style. Enjoy a cruise alongside the old Dubrovnik city walls while lunch is served on deck. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the city.
Day 15 - Dubrovnik
Disembarking our yacht, we start on a city tour of Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is one of the world’s most magnificent walled cities with limestone streets and ornate buildings. Enter through one of two gates in this distinctive ancient town and you will cross a stone bridge onto a stone-paved avenue known as Stradun. For a panoramic view, go for a ride on the Dubrovnik Cable Car. On a clear day you can see up to 60 km. Be sure to enjoy some free time to explore the city and its culture. Walk along the city walls or try some local cuisine.
Day 16 - Konavle to Cavtat
A trip to visit the Kameni Mlin and tour one of the only mills in operation. You will also see a completely restored stamp mill for making rough woolen cloth and the presentation of traditional processing of wool (spinning, weaving and stamping). Enjoy a welcome drink on the terraces in front of the mill or along the river under centuries’ old shade. After a warm welcome from the host, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before travelling back to Dubrovnik.
Day 17 - Dubrovnik
Today is a free day spent at leisure. In the evening, join the rest of the group for a farewell dinner.
Day 18 - Dubrovnik to Home Cities
Today we say farewell to the country we have spent so much time exploring, and to all our friends we made along the way.
